2027: Why I am seeking to be Taraba governor. – Hon Danji SS

The former House of Representatives member for Wukari/Ibi federal constituency, Hon Danjuma Shiddi (Danji SS) on Sunday said, rescuing Taraba state from neglect of insecurity and infrastructural decay inspired his decision to seek for governorship.

Shiddi, who is aspiring for the 2027 governorship under the All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), stated while addressing Journalists that his desire was to restore hope and build a future that will favor all citizens in the state.

He pledged to ensure the security of all communities to boost food production, promote productive innovations through entrepreneurship and prioritize youth and women development.

“My desire is to rescue Taraba from neglect of insecurity and infrastructural decay; My decision to contest the governorship under the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, is to restore hope and build a future that will favor all citizens in the state.

“My move is to secure our communities, revive the decaying infrastructure and uplift our farmers. I have desire to create an environment where all citizen can afford the basic necessities of life.

“For too long, our people have waited for leadership that turns promises into progress, protects families, and opens doors of opportunity for every man, woman, and child across our state through good governance; “Our farmers are struggling with poor access to markets, Parents struggle daily to feed their families, and insecurity continues to create fear of uncertainty on our highways and farmlands.

“Many rural communities sleep with one eye open due to insecurity, while young people have lost hope in the future of our state. If elected governor in 2027, I will transform Taraba and make it a safe place for all citizens and businesses to thrive”. Shiddi assured.

The governorship aspirant promised to support traditional institutions and promote youth innovative engagement programs for human capital development.

“I will strengthen community policing, support traditional institutions and promote youth engagement programs; my administration would work closely with federal security agencies to protect lives and livelihoods.

“We will invest in improved seedlings and extension services; We will establish agro-processing hubs that would add value to products grown in Taraba; This idea is to ensure that farmers earn more from farm produce”. He continued.

“I will prioritize youth employment; My administration will launch apprenticeship programs, support small businesses through microcredit and vocational training, partner with private sector investors to create jobs in agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy.

“My target for reform in agric and health care is to ensure that Taraba becomes the central point of both production and health management”. He explained.

The aspirant urged citizens to rise and support his ambition, in spite of party, ethnic, and religious differences for the interest of development in the state.
